Organisational membership fees

1. Standard Membership
Membership fees depend on the organisation's size and function. Organisations are encouraged to consider membership as a three-year commitment.

  Annual fee
Associations, foundations, institutes, societies, clubs R2 715 (Incl. VAT)
Non-profit companies
Small commercial companies (up to R5m turnover)
Public and private educational institutions R5 500 (Incl. VAT)
Professional councils and associations
Medium commercial companies (up to R50m turnover)
Parastatals R11 500 (Incl. VAT)
Government departments
Large commercial companies (over R50m turnover)

2. Grant & Donor Membership
In addition, for large corporations, EthicSA created two seperate organisational membership categories, namely Grant Membership and Donor Membership. These forms of membership entitle members to the same benefits as Standard Membership, but their aim is to attract investments in EthicSA's mission of "building an ethical society" by supporting our non-billable work (voluntary work, presentations, research, general enquiries, support and advice, advocacy work, and the like). EthicsSA prefers to discuss Grant and Donor members' ethics management needs with them on an individual basis with a view to providing customised support. For both Grant Membership and Donor Membership the first R9 950 is inclusive of VAT (that is the amount equivalent to Standard Membership). The remainder (above R9 950) is a VAT-free donation to EthicsSA as a non-profit organisation.

3. Grant Membership
There are three Grant Membership categories:

  Annual fee
Grant 25 R25 000 - R49 999
Grant 50 R50 000 - R74 999
Grant 100 R75 000 - R99 999

4. Donor Membership
Donor Membership represents a very substantial investment in EthicsSA's mission, and would typically give rise to extensive ethics management engagement, for example, an ethics risk assessment or developing a code of ethics. The Merck Company Foundation, based in Whitehouse Station, NJ, USA, is our "Founding Donor".

  Annual fee
Donor member R100 000 or above
